Maiko Akase

Worked as an illustrator while in college.

At the age of 23, she encountered the world of theater and began working as an actor. Although she was away from making paintings for a while to concentrate on her acting career, she created a brochure for the stage in which she acted, which led her to start drawing abstract paintings.

Since 2017, she has been active in creating live paintings at events and order-made works.

‘I create works, focusing on the emotional conflicts that everyone has in their lives and the emotions that underlie them, and based on the psychology that she learned by interest in her childhood. I hope that through my work, the viewers will have an opportunity to have a dialogue with themselves. ’
